As the curator and catalog editor, this exhibition juxtaposed images from Jon Rafman’s Google Street View series with the photographic urban shots from the 1950s onwards by Gabor Szilasi. By comparing these artistic approaches to past and current public space, the exhibit touched upon ideas of urban visuality, privacy, historiography and authorship.

The exhibit brought together different generations and confronted their time’s medium, challenges and questions, to demonstrate what they have in common rather than what separates them.

The exhibition was presented at Montreal's Art45 in the Belgo building and was accompanied by a catalog funded by McGill's Media and Urban Life fund.

The bilingual catalog can be found here.
